The first song I wrote for the album. Sets the romantic tone for the rest of the record, inspired kinda by Marvin Gaye’s 80s records and Barry White and Love Unlimited. The outro of the song borrows the chord sequence from Aretha Franklin’s ‘Call Me’, with my friend Rachel Dover playing saxophone. The lyrical content could be read as romantic and intimate or spiritual; ideas I’ve played with in the past and tried to do throughout this record too.
